No...you can only obtain the .shx from the author of the original AutoCAD
file..as it's their custom file. When prompted for the file in QuickCAD,
select PTMARKS.shx....it's a standard default.
If that doesn't work, you are pretty well up the creek...yet another
limitation within QuickCAD...!!!

In the previous post by foaman, I replied that I had the same problem
regarding shape files.When I try to open an Autocad2000 files, the shape
file window opens, and it's like the blue screen of death. It locks up the
system. I reading previous posts, it appears that the drawing has a shape
file in it that is not present in my program.
Question..can we download shape files from the Autodesk web site?
