You don't need an expert. All you need is an internet connection and a search engine for these questions. I'm actually surprised that, as an educator, you are asking such questions before researching them.

AutoCAD is backwards compatible. There shouldn't be any reason to stay on the older version. Why would you want them to? The license is free.

You don't need a support expert. Plus, this is a user help forum. Users helping users. One of the best resources for solving issues and learning about AutoCAD there is but Autodesk employees don't participate much. Their mostly here in an administrative role but they do occasionally help out.
