BACKGROUND: I am old acad'er from back in the day. I retired from that industry a couple of decades ago but still use ACAD and I need to use the following legacy systems as, upgrading is just cost prohibitive.
I am running AutoCAD 2000 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit in the XP Mode Emulator/Virtual Machine. I just found my fathers old GCOT CalComp Drawing Board VI digitzer tablet with a 16 button wireless puck (Circa 2006?) and have a configuration questions. The hardware I am running is a Lenovo with i5-2320 Processor, 8gb RAM. I do not have a com port but I could install one if needed.
QUESTIONS: Is there a way to use this digitizer with this system via the tablet USB port or COM DB6 port? If so, what drivers should I download for AutoCAD 2000 and/or for Windows7/XP Mode to make it work?
CURRENT REQUIREMENTS: I will be purchasing some property next month and I need to digitize the plat to draft a to scale site plan and building drawings for site approval & permitting.
