Longtime MAX user here. I have many ongoing projects that were created using Mental Ray in versions of MAX prior to 2018. For that reason I need to keep a running version of 2017 around. I am moving to a new workstation and when I went to download the installer for 2017, I see that only versions back to 2018 are available now. Can you clarify? Thanks.
Autodesk does not store versions older than 2018 today (this time next year they will drop 2018, they will drop 2019 the follow year, and so on).
Ask in the 3DSMax forum to see if any of your peers can offer a solution for you, otherwise you'll have to try websites on the web that sell downloads or disks of your old software AFAIK.
