LT 2012 Serial Number invalid

I have the above software and had to re-load it onto my recently repaired laptop following blue screen. The install only gave me 30 days trial as the serial number came up invalid.

I've tried support but get told there's no support.... I DON'T NEED SUPPORT..... I just need to know how to circumvent the invalid notice for a valid serial number attached to my software.

Thanks for your prompt response to this. I don't see my approach as anything illegal. I have the software and the key codes etc, it's not as though I'm asking for a crack code! 

Let me give you an example of what I mean; I drive a 52 year old MG Miget, which MG stopped producing 25 years ago, but I have an ignition key and although MG no longer support or manufacture it, I turn the key each day and it starts and drives. All I'm asking is that the key for my software does similar. MG have are not suggesting the only way I can now drive is to buy a new EV two seater!!

I thank you for the links, which I will review, my only issue will likely be that the alternatives will also require me to buy another laptop capable of supporting newer software. I don't have a throwaway approach to life, so won't be pressured into doing something against my principles.

So sad if this is what MAGA is all about.

Anyway, Autodesk no longer provides activation of older versions: Autodesk to end activation for versions 2011-2014 on July 1, 2022 - Autodesk Community

You can argue about 'perpetual license' etc. but it's Autodesk making the rules. IMO, it's silly - having an activation server for those old versions should be no big deal.

But even if you manage to get the 2012 version running again, you'll face another probleem soon: AutoCAD 2012 won't run correctly on Windows 11....

Yes, I'm sure I'm just angry of saddleworth at the moment as the systems just don't work for the individual who doesn't want change. 

As a retired architect I'm not in the market for new software or a new laptop. My current steam driven system seamed adequate. Since the glitch and the need to update my operating platform to windows 10, the trouble just seems to get exponentially greater each step. My laptop won't support anything more advanced than the early LT suite, so I'm resigned due to the underwhelming support of autodesk PLC to go back to completing my personal project with paper and pencil. I will now ceremonially burn my LT2012 disc in the garden heater.
