Install AutoCAD LT 2008 onto new computer

I have autocad LT 2008. I purchased it in 2009. I just bought a new laptop that I am attempting to activate it on. I have the original disk and serial number. The activation code I have in my records didn't work. I need an activation code that works. Can you help me?

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

First this legacy version will not function properly on a newer machine/operating system. Secondly an activation code from an existing machine will not work on a different machine. You will need to select Activate and get a new activation code that's associated to your request code (of the new machine).

As of August 2019 you can no longer authorize 2010 and older software (that includes LT2008) on new computers. Sorry.

Hope your old computer with LT2008 already on it is still working, you can keep using it forever if possible.
