Autodesk 2013 not activating

A client I manage needs his copy of Autodesk installed onto his new workstation. We run the installer that he has saved on his drive, and the suite of programs seems to install correctly. However when i launch the application, it asks me to activate it using a license file, or a server license. He has a LM running on his businesses server, that multiple other users are currently using and active on. But, when i select the server by name, it states that the flexnet finder has been completed, and will cycle back to the first screen once more. The error i receive when closing out is in the attachments below. This is happening on all autodesk 2013 applications we installed, and I'd like to get it running ASAP.

Thank you!

What OS is your client running?

If it's Windows 10 you're going to have issues as it's not supported;

Hi Scott,

This is about AutoCAD Mechanical 2013, right? Are you installing it on Windows 10? Likely, it won't work, since 2013 product lines are no longer supported and I don't think they can be installed on Win10. Please upgrade to newer releases. If you have specific issue about Inventor, please feel free to post it here. Or, post it on the product specific forum.

Many thanks!

a -15 error means it cannot connect to the license server
first check the firewall on both the client computer & the license server

The FLEXlm® based version uses the following ports:
TCP ports 2080 (for the adskflex vendor daemon)
TCP ports 27000 to 27009 (for the lmgrd master daemon)

To test Firewall, simply use Internet Explorer (not any 3rd party browser) to test the open ports.

http://servername:2080

http://servername:27000

Both addresses should come back with a jargon page. If not, then your firewall on the server is blocking those ports. Make the appropriate exceptions.

Hello!

He is running a windows 10 machine,yes.

He has had this suite installed on windows 10 machines prior with no issue, it would seem that its just on this machine in particular that he has issues.

The ports are open, there are other techs in his business running fine off of the same server license. The only time i get the error is after closing the window that is asking me to add a license, as it keeps taking me in circles saying it has found the license, though it actually doesn't.
