We have been on the subscription model for a while now and were using max 2016 (because it still has Mental Ray) up until we had a hardware failure. when trying to re-install 3ds max we found that we can now only access back to max 2017. is it possible to get a version of max 2016 again please as we're unable to match the bakes we were getting from Mental Ray in the new Arnold renderer.
On subscription you are only granted access to three versions back: as of today, 2017 is as far back as you are allowed to go. No solution exists.
That's the caveat with subscription: why did you all pay if you did not intend to use the newer versions? Or are you using current as well as old? I'm just curious.
Hello @Anonymous ! If you were on a Maintenance plan and switched to Subscription without lapse, you may still have rights to the v2016 product. If so, please open a case through AVA and a service agent will review.
