Request for Break Corner Option In Fusion 360

This is a very productive tool which I had used in Solidworks . Just got the Sheetmetal beta and I was hovering through the options and found that the chamfer option is the same like the option for Solid modelling ..

My suggestion is to bring an option like the Break Corner option into Fusion 360

Kindly watch the above link where you can get an idea of what option I am requesting for

If I select the face the edges will be automatically detected the will do the chamfer . Not only face sometimes if I select the whole model the sharp corners will be detected and chamfered.

Our designers do this for every part as we cut all flat pattern parts on a Mitsubishi laser before they go to the press brakes and the corner fillet is a huge part of our design process. Makes cutting on the laser much faster.

@Aadithya01,

Thank you for your input and workflow description.  I have it in our backlog to enhance our fillet and chamfer tool to filter edges that can be manufactured with sheet metal.  This would allow you to select the whole model or window select and only the corners (not the edges) would be selected.  The same workflow as the video shows, but using the fillet and chamfer tool.

Cheers,

Hey @promm

I am hoping to see this feature in Fusion 360. Yes definitely @Steinwerks like how steinworks has mentioned Even the current customers and users will benefit a lot in their sheetmetal workflow.
