I've got my toolbars set where I want them. Now when I go to make a surface and go back to edit something, the general edit toolbar moves on me. why is this? how can I get them where I want them and keep them there, even when i close and reopen the software? it wasnt this much trouble in powermill. I've only started really using powershape a few weeks ago, but i must say there are a lot of pain in my neck quirks with stupid interface things that i dont see in powermill. see pictures:

Give this a shot, I think that is what controls it. It's been a few years though....

First, you have to tick on Manage toolbars inside options as suggested by stdpattern. And then click on Toggle toolbar pinning to move the toolbar to home position. I tried in my end, it works perfectly. So please try in your end once and let me know the result.
