is it possible to apply a default colour to a feature?

Example; all tapped holes = orange, all bush holes = green etc..

I know you can apply a colour to a feature type in the solid tree but I wanted to set the colour before the feature was used.

This is to assist PowerMill machining by standardizing feature colours.

Powershape solid features can be assigned a colour during creation .

Please view the following screencast  video;

How to set the colour of a feature before the feature is created in Powershape, is ready for viewing.

I was looking for assistance on how to set a default colour to a feature
rather than having to set the colour for that feature every time it is made.

In your video, the colour used for the hole feature, will that be the colour
used in a new PowerShape session or would I have to repeat the process every
session?

Hi Paul

Feature colours can only be set during feature creation within Powershape.

I have spoken with our development team who confirmed that this is the case.

However; I have requested a Powershape enhancement on your behalf ...

development ref Jira PSHAPE-2149.

Please feel free to get in touch if you want an update on development progress by quoting Jira PSHAPE-2149.

Kind regards Donald Shaw (Autodesk UK Support)
