Autodesk app, no subscription?

I installed Powermill 17 and Powershape 17 today, and the Autodesk app shows up as part of that.  The app did install Powershape 17 sp1, which seemed to take forever.  Now if I run the app, I get a screen telling me I don't have a subscription?

Ideas?

Thanks

Hi @stdpattern,

Apologies for the issue. It looks like you are getting this message from the Autodesk Application desktop app, correct? Have you restarted your computer since installing the programs? Also try signing out and back into the application desktop app.

The application desktop app is just to help you update the your programs. You should still be able to run your programs and find updates for them within your Autodesk Account. I have verified, the programs are assigned and showing up there.

I did reboot and log out/in.  No change.

Not a big deal, just thought I would mention the issue.

Powermill 2017 and Powershape 2017 do run.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry for hijacking this topic but i also have some problems with the Autodesk App.

I set up PowerSHAPE 2017 / PowerMILL 2017 and ArtCAM 2017 last monday successfully and yet the Autodesk app says that i don't have any product in my account.

All of these products are correctly appering in my account on the web portal.

I tried rebooting / logout and login another time but still the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @ewshp,

Definitely not hijacking it Smiley Happy. I am working with the product team to make sure they show up in the Desktop App, but you also will be able to find all available updates within your Autodesk Account by hitting downloads under the product, then navigating to the Updates & Add-ons Tab (as shown below).

Note: If you are not the contract manager (CM), the access to these updates & add-ons is controlled by your CM, so you may have to request access from your CM. There are also no current updates & add-ons available at this point in time.

Hi @matthew.d

Thank you very much for your reply. Nothing urgent, just want to make use of the tools offered by Autodesk and keep up to date with the latest release.

Well noted for the contract management. I will check how to get the account in charge of contract management changed to my account as the credentials have been sent to another email address i own and not the one associated with this account.

Hi @matthew.d,

Just wanted to check in to ask if you had new information about the Autodesk App not in sync with the account.

Multiple users are mentioning an update but the Autodesk Desktop app shows nothing at all and my web account say that no update is available at the moment despite having feedback from other users that have successfully installed SP1 for PowerMILL 2017.

Sorry to disturb.

Still no subscription via the AutoDesk app as per attached, however - the automatic update did initiate while on my home network through the app

Can it be some weird access proxy whatever thing that "prevents" the app from working

It's annoying to keep being reminded about not having a subscription - when you know that's not the case -

Would be better not to have the app

Hi All,

Is the Autodesk App come from the latest version of PM or PS or ArtCAM? To let make it sure, please log out at the Desktop App,

uninstall it. After it please reinstall one of the main product: PS, PM or ArtCAM (it would install the latest version of the Desktop App also.)

I have solved this kind of issue with the described soulution. Hope its help for you also.

Regards,

Joe

Thank you - Glad that it worked for you and it's a very good suggestion - however not working for me

most likely a combination of the app and our IT policies
