Hi,

yesterday i downloaded PM & PS 2019. We change from PM2017 to PM2019. My first impression - catastrophic... maybe we will not change now...

One Problem: We generate our Sheetupsheets with a Visual Basic Program wich doesn´t work anymore.

PM2017:

To get the Part Name:

PMILL.ExecuteEx("Print formvalue ProjectNotes.Shell.ProjSettings.ProjectName"

To get the Order Number:

PMILL.ExecuteEx("Print formvalue ProjectNotes.Shell.ProjSettings.OrderNo").Trim

PM2019:

To get the Part Name:

PMILL.ExecuteEx("Print formvalue ProjectNotes.Shell.BackstageInfo.PartName").Trim

To get the Order Number:

PMILL.ExecuteEx("Print formvalue ProjectNotes.Shell.BackstageInfo.OrderNo").Trim

but BackstageInfo does´t work!?

And how do i get the (1) Projekt Name and (2) the Projekt Path

In PM2017 it was (1)

PMILL.ExecuteEx("Print formvalue ProjectNotes.Shell.ProjSettings.ProjectName").Trim

and (2)

PMILL.ExecuteEx("Print formvalue ProjectNotes.Shell.BackstageInfo.ProjectPath"

Hi SurgaB,

you can use the parameters that are backing all this.

print par $project.Partname
print par $project.OrderNumber
print par $project.Notes
Unlike the GUI, these (should) never change.

Thank´s Ken. All works, except for the Path of the Project. What´s wrong?

PMILL.ExecuteEx("print par $project.Path").Substring(9).Trim

It looks like that's not in those parmeters, you can try project_pathname to get that though:

print par $project_pathname(TRUE)\r]

                 (STRING) pmta114624a.prj

print par $project_pathname(FALSE)

                  (STRING) D:/devdisk/dmk/test_data/pmdata/pmta114624a.prj

I tried different "print par $project_xx", "$project.xx" without success. Is there any other solution to get the path of the project?
