Selection issues 2026

Hi, has anyone had an issue with selecting surfaces in PowerMill 2026? I have only recently changed from 2025 to 2026, but I'm having selection issues when I try to select surfaces. I must add that this is also a new PC.

If I try to left click a surface, I get a random surface selected rather than the one I want. If I left click off the model it also randomly selects a surface, rather than clearing the selection. If I place the cursor on a surface to see its position, this is also a bit hit and miss on giving the correct information.

Right clicking off the model in previous versions of PowerMill used to give me a default menu, but now seems to get confused because of randomly selected items.

I have attached a video that shows me selecting surfaces, but showing the actual surface that has been highlighted. 6 selections made, and all were incorrect.

This is an old project that I had no issues with before the PC change and PowerMill version change.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Note; All graphic drivers have had latest versions downloaded.

PC details,

Processor; Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-14600T (1.80 GHz)

Installed Ram; 32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable)

Display adaptors; Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770,  NVIDIA T400 4GB

If its a new computor then the most likley culprit is your 3d app graphics settings are set to default and need to be set to 3d app visual simulation. See this solution.

Hi iamcdn79,

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried adjusting the settings as per the instructions, but this hasn't fixed my issue.

I haven't tried restarting my PC since I made these changes, so I will try that now. I will respond again if this is successful.

Hi rafael.sansao,

Unfortunately this didn't resolve my issue, but thank you for taking the time to send this over.
