Powermill 2018 post error

Hi

I have just upgraded from Powermill 2016 to Powermill 2018.  I have imported a 2016 project which is proved and tested and have changed the machine option file to:  C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Manufacturing Post Processor Utility 2018\Generic\Heidenhain.pmoptz but I am getting this message: error NCB0260: This machine can't handle multiaxis programs.

I need the post to run a Haidenhain controlled Mikron HSM 400U.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the PowerMill forum!

The post you are trying to use is indeed a 3-axis post so it will not be able to handle 5-axis programs.

In order for you to obtain a multi-axis post you would have to request it to your Autodesk commercial contact or just by opening a case through your Autodesk account. In that way our post-processor team will be able to provide you with the post you need once they get all the information about your machine & controller configuration.

Hi Gary,

Yes, the latest version of Ductpost is dongle free so there would be no problem with that.

You can find the installer here: https://autodesk.box.com/s/whawucsk4l0ar7cr2h3mbo6w47ekygf6 .

This version is dongle-free so just launch the installer and follow the steps.
