PAF ERROR=52 Line=17

We have moved a computer to another location and now we are getting a paf error. I assume we need a new paf file, how do I get one?

regards,

Iain

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for contacting Autodesk community forum.

We get PAF 52 error, when dongle is not detected by USB driver or sentinel divers are not installed. Also one of the reason can be USB dongle you are using might be have started to fail, so try to switch dongle to another port.

Note:  USB dongle should by always connected to back side of workstation and not front side.

@Anonymous,

Autodesk (Delcam) has stopped the support of parallel port dongles for security reasons.  PMILL 2013 and future version require XM dongle and also ending support for older types. SuperProXM dongles start from approx. number  43XXX .

With non-xm dongle plugged in; you will get error code 52 which you are facing.

But if you have SuperProXM dongle plugged in and still faced an error : Please follow the mentioned steps,

1) Unplug the Dongle from the USB Port.
2) Uninstall the Delcam product using.
3) Uninstall all the sentinel components (Multiple drivers if present and Sentinel Protection installer) by going to Control Panel, click Programs and Features --> 'Add Remove programs'.
4) Run the appropriate SSDCleanup program downloaded from the following link,

http://www.safenet-inc.com/support-downloads/sentinel-drivers/

5) If possible try using registry clean-up utility to clean the bad registry.
5) Once un-install restart the computer and login as Administrator and install the software by right clicking on 'setup.exe' and selecting 'Run as Administrator'. Make sure they also go through the Sentinel Drivers installation.
6) Now try restarting the computer and then plug the Delcam Dongle into the USB port. The Dongle now should be recognised under the Device Manger as 'SafeNet USB SuperPro/UltraPro'.
7) By right clicking on the product Shortcut and selecting 'Run as Administrator'.

Hope this is helpful.

@Anonymous,

This is a commercial aspect now, you need to contact your local sales representative from Autodesk.

Hi Avinash,
We have about 5 or 6 dongles, so I simply used one of the other ones and
that fixed the problem.

Iain
