Barrel Taper tool

Hello, is anyone using barrel taper tools.

I'm having some issues where I am getting a different toolpath on different surfaces

The next picture is my first toolpath which is correct

But when I copy this toolpath but select a different surface  I get a different result . the green lines or the cutting path has some vertical movements.

Would this be something to do with the surface?

Would anyone know how to stop this happening?

I am using a surface finishing toolpath

Thanks

One solution to create somme toolpath for this type of tool

A) Create a Zconstant toolpath with a ball tool using the same radius as your conical barrel tip radius

B) Create a pattern finishing toolpath using the previous toolpath as pattern

We've tested and never been able to beat a Dijet Mirror Ball finish. Here's our test path, just tipped on the Barrel angle and constant Z

Morning, I'm not really sure what you mean by a mirrored ball finish. Is that a toolpath?

Or do you just use a constant Z Toolpath using the angle of the tapered tool?

Thanks
