DED toolpaths have very specific requirements that are VERY different to PM subtractive toolpaths.

I noticed that your toolpath was not correctly created as the tool axis was not normal to the surface of the part.
You will need to familiarise yourself with tool axis in toolpath creation also.
In order to deposit on a cylinder/surface keeping tool axis normal to surface of revolution I created a workplane with:
X axis along the centre of my cylinder
Origin at the centre of the cylinder.
I made sure the workplane was active when I calculated the toolpaths.
Also important is to familiarise yourself with the concepts of Base surface, and feature. Base is where we deposit on (like substrate plate), feature is what we are actually building.
Feature construction requires a base surface and a feature, surface coating only a surface to deposit on, so the geometries required will change depending if it is a solid build or a surface coating.
Please see the levels and sets of each project to see the differences, obvious the models on both projects are different. Solid build requires a closed volume, with base surface on one level, and feature to build on another.
Also note the selection in the toolpaths themselves.

This document has some examples of how to achieve vertical tool axis for DED applications.
Follow the example on page 72. Tool Axis Control [Z] is what you need to use.

PowerMill projects are located here C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk PowerMill Robot Plugin 2020\Library\Projects
Use the robot from the library to simulate.
You can reply my simulation by:
-load the robot ABB + positioner from library
-activate the toolpath I created
-from the horizontal replay bar press play (if the simulation is not loaded, please select it via file open icon)
-This way you can see what my end result was.

I set E2 high, E1 static at 90, and used the Tool Axis [Z] to keep the Tool vertical.
The example projects attached + the documentation should make the steps clear.
