Hi

Is PowerMILL capable to execute 6-axis output?

can we generate 6 axis in this milling machine ?

Sorry but unfortunately no. From what I have been told from postprocessor support Powermill can only drive 5 axis at a time, when you get to 6 or more axis you are dealing with robot machining

Hi HIGHCAMGROUP

The Autodesk manufactuting post processor utility (AMPPU) software is limited to 5 axis machining. You would be able to drive the machine, but not all 6 axes at any one time. Separate post processors would be required for each AB, BC configuration.

we drive our 8Axis machine with LINUXCNC its capable of 9Axis syncron and max 12 axis Servo

it has kinetics for a Puma like DOF6

full ATC support and lots of Gui featers for self  construct at QTpyvcp level RT Kernel behavior

you do not need 2 do a 6axis

you can make a 3+2 or simply 5 and the kinetics goes for the coordinates itself

yes i know we can programming 3+2 or 5 axis

just in robot machining we can programming More than 5 axis

anyway thanks

Hi

Did you see the FreeCAD 9Axis robot extension interface

a Mill uses just the standard 6axis where ISO is clampt to 3liniar +- and 2 Rotation +-

as the part is fixed to a Axis line (4thAxis)or even a Plane

the Beethoven has been milled in 8hr as only 150mm toolcutlength it coudt have been 400mm as of 2 cuts insted of 8

the Toolpath is Rough at  XZC  made as Rotation Lathe

the finish is a 3+2 as XYZBC

If you need positining dont use a CAD /CAM use a Robot Util like  CUCA Free Pos
