Im New to powermill and 5 axis programming and still just finding my feet! I have a 5 axis CNC mill (mazak 500i variaxis) and I am trying to find the best toolpath for parting off from the stock.
What I want to do is rotate the 4th axis and step the tool (and end mill) in Z in much the same way as you would do on a lathe, reducing the diameter until the part can be easily removed
any help would be great thanks isaac.
