Scheduling Nested Points

Is there a way to schedule nested points?

I need to schedule them to be able to order sleeves and I am having to manually number them after they are already automatically numbered through APL. This is time consuming and have tried to figure out a away to pull the info needed to no success. I have noticed that once you nest them, they come up as GTP points versus just Pointnumber, Pointrole, etc...

Not sure I understand why you are needing to manually #, perhaps your schedule is actually including the parent family?

Here is a quick and dirty schedule creation steps, check if you are doing something different.

Create new Multi-Category Schedule

Add PointNumber and PointDescription fields

Edit Filter to include (FilterBy: PointNumber -> Parameter Exists)

Edit Sorting/grouping to include Grand Totals: Count and totals

List and count at bottom of it should match what you see on the Manage Point screen after hitting Apply with no filters.

I do not have those fields to choose from. Also, will those pull from the nested points that have changed to what I have attached that is showing them under GTP_PointNumber?

My process is that I am using APL to autonumber which gives me the number shown in GTP_PointNumber but I can't find it to schedule it. I have tried making a parameter but I am not skilled in that to figure it out so my workaround is plugging in the point number into the "Mark" field so I can schedule based off of that field. I have a high rise to do with roughly 200 points per floor and it's time consuming.

I have made other parameters to be able to show up in the schedule but I can't figure this one out.

Yes, those values will feed from the host family directly to the PointNumber field of the actual point instance, you should basically ignore the GTP_ ones completely.  Are you sure you are doing a Multi-Category schedule?  If not those fields most likely wont be available.  Generic Model Schedule also works.
