GTP Points as part of Groups

I've developed a series of families with nested points. Sometimes, these points work better as part of a group. Currently, APL does not allow renumbering the points while they're in a group.

Is there any way around this? Is there somewhere other than here to request this feature?

Unfortunately none that I know of since Revit disallows modifications to items in a group unless you are in group edit mode, the only exception being if their is only a single instance of the group.

Shane, I partially (and respectfully) disagree with you. I recognize the purpose of groups. However, what about Project Parameters? When created, we have the ability to set values to either ALIGN or VARY when used in groups. Now maybe I'm misunderstanding that, but there is some functionality.

Now while that may not be possible, I ask why not? Clearly the functionality is there to an extent. It just needs to be extended to support APL in this regard.

I see what you mean in regards to Project parameters and they can now have a value set to vary by group instance.  It is intriguing certainly.  You can play with it, but honestly I just don't have bandwidth to dig into something like that any time soon.  I can email you a shared parameter file with the appropriate  parameters which you can load and use to set  project parameter with that Vary by group setting if you want to try it out.  I am not sure how APL will act with them being Project parameters, but off the top of my head I can't think of any issues as long as its using the same shared parameter.

Thanks,
