Hi @booriggly,
Today, you can convert a license from network to standalone. If you are on active Maintenance Subscription, there is no cost. If you are not on active Maintenance Subscription, there is a small transaction fee and your reseller would typically initiate this transaction for you.
As for going the other way, you can uplift (purchase a network activation for) a license to go from standalone to network as long as perpetual licenses are still being sold for your product. Generally speaking, this means you will no longer be able to uplift most individual products after Jan. 31 and you will no longer be able to uplift a Suite product after July 31. There are exceptions so please refer to the following links for the list of products organized by the perpetual license end-of-sale date: The Jan. 31 list. The July 31 list. Since most perpetual licenses will not be sold after July 31, it is likely that you will not be able to uplift a license in September.
Also, regarding network licenses, we are releasing a new offering, specifically for customers to add additional shared network licenses to their license server after the end-of-sale date of perpetual network licenses. These new licenses are currently called “network subscriptions” and they are a term-based version of a network license. They will be available on Feb. 1. More info here.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.
Regards,
Felice

As I understand ... if a network license on Maint Sub is converted to a standalone, it can be converted back to a network at no cost as long as the maintaince sub is maintained on the license as a standalone.
Can you confirm this ?
Assuming that is the case, will the ability to change a converted network back to network be avaible after the sale of new perpetual licenses of that product are discontinued ?

Hello @DonBoresky
If you’ve already purchased the perpetual license's network activation (uplift from standalone to network) or a perpetual network license outright, and subsequently converted that license down to a standalone, you can convert again to a network license at no cost, provided that you are active on Maintenance Subscription. This ability to do so should not be impacted by our transition to subscription as you already own the perpetual license.
I hope that helps.
