Important question

Why is Autodesk refusing to answer what version of a software

we will be required to use with the pay-as-you-go method? Will

we be required to use a new release before it is finished with its

updates? Or will we be able to wait until the program is complete

later in the year?

Evading key customer concerns will only back-fire on Autodesk.

Autodesk is a publically owned company. This is not a child's game.

Hi Revit_LT,

Regarding which version of the software you can use in the pay-as-you-go method (Desktop Subscription)... Desktop Subscription offerings include a "Previous Version" benefit.  In most cases, this means that you can use the current version of the software (this would be the one you purchased) OR you can download, install and use any of the 3 pervious versions of that software provided that those previous versions exist.  If there is a particular product you are interested in, let me know and I can confirm for you which previous versions you would have access to under Desktop Subscription. Or you can read more about the Previous Version benefit here

One additional clarification... Desktop Subscription software is run from your system (not the cloud.)  Therefore, if we release an update during your active term, you are not forced to download and install it.  You can continue to use the version you previously installed.

Regards,

Felice

Hi Felice,

It's really amazing what an honest person can do to help what

appears to be a bad situation. You answered my question directly

and didn't pretend I was talking about something else. Thank you

very much for that.
