I would like to learn simple ObjectARX without investing in Visual Studio yet. The Visual Studio compiler is available for free without the windows interface.

An ARX file is a windows DLL with an ARX extension, that is required to export certain functions that AutoCAD calls to initialize the ARX application. -- http://www.caddzone.com AcadXTabs: MDI Document Tabs for AutoCAD 2004/2005 http://www.acadxtabs.com "lorier" wrote in message news:23051619.1099240610293.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum1.autodesk.com... > excuse my ignorance, but is an arx file simply a renamed obj file?
