acedGetSym()

Hello members,

My application gets the values from VLisp using acedGetSym(). I have more than 20 parameters to pass so I make them several groups such as (list (list ..) (list ...) ...) in Lisp.
However, Arx recognizes some group as RT3DPOINT(5009) for the group which has 3 elements though it is not 3D point.
Does Arx always recognize this kind of list as 5009?
Is there any other way to pass this group to be recognized as a list of integer or double?. Do I have to make it into string for each element in a list?

Passing lists via ADS will do this. one solution I've used in the past is
to encapsulate the lists into a nested list, so that instead of passing '(1
2 3) you pass '((1 2 3)). A better solution would be to expose a COM
interface so that your lisp can communicate directly with your ObjectARX
code. 🙂
