How to make a voronoi from inventor and meshmixer

Hello.

I have been working on inventor and make a rectangle. Then I export it to .obj and .stl. Next, I load autodesk meshmixer and I use import function. Next, I open edit - "make pattern' and for"pattern type" I use "dual edges". And then, I have something like this: Photo of voronoi rectangle .

How to make a voronoi element from inventor parts?

... please attach pictures + sketches and models + drawings (pack models by pack and go + ZIP), create patterns for sensitive data.

Hi! Inventor has very limited Mesh modeling abilities. I don't think it can be done in Inventor. I think you may need to look into NetFabb or MeshMixer. I am moving this thread to NetFabb forum.

Many thanks!

Hello, @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Netfabb forum!

Netfabb is not a mesh modeling tool. It is a tool for preparing 3D models, CAD or triangle mesh, for additive manufacturing.

As for the Voronoi cell, Netfabb has latticing capability. In Netfabb Ultimate, you can create custom cell geometry. This may or may not be what you are looking for.

What is your actual goal with the Voronoi cell, please?

Best regards,

Steffen
