Creating minimum jump (skip) in multiple islands in ATU

Hello,

Recently, I have faced challenges in creating a toolpath for a part with multiple islands. When you have, for example, a cylinder geometry (with a hole in its center), you can easily use "hatchExt" function to reduce the jumps of the laser around the hole. But, how can we do the same job for parts like the picture? ( This is just one part and in the  next layers, islands move and make a continuous part)

Regards,

Parmida

If you collect the hatch results from all islands in one bsHatch object, then you could optimize the jumps with these functions:

  • bsHatch.pathReordering()
  • bsHatch.sortHatchBlocksForMinJumpLength()
