Hello,

A client has Navisworks Manage 2020 and when he opens the file, he sees this bizarre grid surrounded by yellow & black stripes. It looks like a NASA Rocket Launch Pad or something. I downloaded the exact same file and I don't have this problem.

How can I "deactivate it" ? Very bizarre indeed.

Never seen that before. Maybe it is coming from the original authoring package and you are missing the object enablers that would display it. Total guess. I would check the Scene Statistics to see if you are missing an object enabler.

I'm not aware of this... "factory design utilities". Looks like a standalone software from Autodesk ? Why would it be inteferring with Navisworks ?

I've never seen it either. I can only see it when I connect via Teamviewer on the screen of the client who has Navisworks managed 2020 installed on this machine. Why does his navisworks display this grid and my navisworks (or any of my colleagues) doesn't ? So weird.

I have FDU (Factory Design Utilities) installed too. Just came back to a iPart parent and found this too (yellow and black caution tape border). The parent (master file) and members were all released. I'm not sure how this showed up either. I have FDU installed but I haven't touched it yet in leu of actual training. (would love to) Anyways this shows up in Inventor. I don't see a way to turn it off. Factory Floor Settings don't show up. Just Factory Options. Any clue?
(Inventor 2022.4.1, FDU 2022.1)

Inventor: Model States is not a replacement for iParts / iAssemblies. It does not have all the same features yet and does not communicate well with our large currently in use libraries. 😞 https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/model-state-support-tabulated-parts-list/idc-p/11360616

@jsanders

Hey, Try this...

Click the Nman icon jnewon_1-1685652903761.png  in the upper left of the screen and select options.

jnewon_2-1685652944970.png

Then select Factory options and Grid floor. These should change the visibility of your Factory floor.
