Use of Sectioning tool in Timeliner

I wanted to do construction simulation, showing sections from different angles in the timliner.

Sectioning tool doesnt works when it linked to a timeliner with animation link.

Try creating a video sequence in Animator with a section plane. Then link that into your timeliner instead of an viewpoint timeliner.

I've just tried to do this too. Using the animator panel, and adding an animated section. The animation it's own works great but once added to timeliner it no linger animates the section tool?

I, too, am having trouble linking an 'Animator' animation with section planes, as when I play the animation using Timeliner, the sections are totally ignored.

Can anyone explain how to get the Animator sections to link into Timeliner? Any Help would be greatly appreciated as I have tried almost everything in both Manage 2016 and 2017 to get the 'Animator sections' to work in Timeliner.

I was wondering if there is an answer for this yet? 

I have tried different approaches, both in Animator as well as in Viewpoints animation. The Timeliner does not seem to accept sections as an animation.

Also looked online for solutions but could not find it.

Maybe the answer is: "Impossible" looking at the timeline of this question/forum? 🙂
