The Project Could not be opened

I am trying to upload a microsoft projects file into navisworks for scheduling and it comes up with the error "The project could not be opened" I have tried to resave the file and it does not want to work whatsoever. It is an MMP file that i need to upload. Please let me know what I am doing wrong and how to fix it. Thank you

Do you have MS Project installed on the machine with Navisworks?

You could try export the .mmp file from MS Project as a .csv file.
