STRAY LINES APPEARING IN NWD

Can anyone help?

We created an nwd from an NWF in Navisworks 2015 in early October and it was a clean model. At the end of October we created a new NWD but this time there are numerous lines appearing away out in space. I have gone into the Cad models cleaned them up, purged etc and refreshed the NWF but these lines are still there.

has anyone come across this before and have solution

First, double check the source files - especially for frozen/off DEFPOINTS and layer 0.

Second, check the settings for loading frozen and/or off layers.  At least some of that is looking like some 2D sketch work somebody tried to "sweep under the rug" rather than actually clean up.

Depending on the source program (Plant3D?  Or an AutoCAD-hosted 3D piping program?), you might need to check the DWG loader version vs. the program version vs. the DWG file version.  The objects aren't being interpreted properly.
