Hi,
After you run the Clash test, in the Result Tab select one of the clash and in the right hand you shall see the Display Settings Panel. If you open that panel under Highlighting group check the box Highlight all clashes. This shall show all clashes.
Hope hleps...
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the input. A problem I'm having with Highlight all clashes is that it works with "Dim Other" or no isolation, but it doesn't work with "Hide Other".
What I'm looking to achieve is an overview of all clashes, with non-clashing elements completely hidden. If you group all clash results and select hide other you can get the display I'm looking for. Any thoughts on how to make Hide Other work with Highlight all clashes?
Hi,
I now get what you are looking for and I think there is a way to do it.
If you can get the view you want with Dim Other and do not want to see other elements you can change the dimming tranparency 🙂
To do this go to Navisworks-->Options-->Tools-->Clash Detective and set the Dimming Transparancy to 1. So when you highlight all clashes in Dim Other isolation you will not see other elements.
Hope helps...
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the help, that's a really neat workaround. In some ways it's opened up other ways of quickly reviewing clashes because if you set the transparency really high (say 0.95) and turn off wireframe for transparent dimming, you can still see all of your clashing elements quickly but you also get the benefit of seeing them in context. Not to mention that you can see still how many clashes you actually have on the clash 'dashboard', rather than just 1 clash because you've grouped them all.
Not wanting to sound negative, but a drawback to the transparency approach is that things like quick properties still see the transparent elements first (even if transparency is 1), meaning that it can be tricky to identify what a particular cylinder represents.
Thanks,
Colin
