Replacement / update of NWC file while NWF file is Active / Open

Even after making the necessary settings in Navisworks Manage software like say "Options Editor>Model>Performance, “Close NWC/NWD Files on Load” is checked" still the subjected activity doesn't work. 

I had tried in multiple ways, one way I had tried to replace the NWC file by extracting from Revit directly and the other way I had tried to replace the file in the folder with the same name.  Either way it is not working.

Any suggestions.

Changing the "Close NWC/NWD Files on Load" setting is what you want, but it doesn't close the files when you change it. You either need to reopen the entire NWF file or just press the reload button. Your references should now be closed and replaceable.

Thanks for your response Bob. 

But unfortunately, even though I press the reload button, it doesn't load. This was the actual issue which I am worried.

However like the olden days, any issue we will just restart. I had done the same and it works now. I am able to replace the files.
