Hello,
Today we have released update 1 for Navisworks 2026. This update has been focused on fixing the most common issues found in Navisworks 2026. This release was planned and monitored for all incoming issues ensuring Navisworks 2026 is as stable as possible.
Improvements
- Added the ability to open the file path from the Application home Screen by right clicking the file.

Improved the speed and performance of the Rules Editor dialog box.

Improved the speed and performance of the Clash Detective when grouping clashes.

Added a scroll bar to the Clash Grouping window in Clash Detective to accommodate long clash test names.

Added contextual help links to various dialog boxes.

Color pickers now use RGB values by default.
- When exporting to SVF from NWD, the Layer, Hidden, and Required properties, which don't apply to SVF files, are no longer displayed in the Item category
Stability and Defects
General

The Resize Floor option now works correctly when working with Factory Design Utilities layouts in Navisworks.

Fixed several issues when using two monitors (with scaling applied on one monitor):
- Floating windows are no longer lost when switching display configurations.
- Docking hints are displayed as expected when dragging floating windows.

Docking floating windows together in the scene view now works as expected.

Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when loading some DWFx and IFC files .

Fixed an issue causing Navisworks Simulate to close unexpectedly when working with NWF files saved to Autodesk Construction Cloud projects using Desktop Connector.

The Quick Access Toolbar now correctly retains items that have been added between sessions.

Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when using the Events dialog box.

Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when editing searches in the Find Items dialog box.

When NWC files are exported from MicroStation, the geometry associated with Construction class elements is now displayed correctly.

The Clash Detective window now displays in full screen as expected when it is resized after being undocked.

Text-based RVM files containing v1.2 primitives now load correctly.

Transparency values entered using a keyboard in the Appearance Profiler are now set correctly.

The Measure tool now measures geometry in VUE files correctly.

Overriding a transform using the right-click option in the scene or selection tree now works as expected for Navisworks 2026.

The Units and Transform dialog box now works as expected for Navisworks 2026.

Fixed an issue where some views loaded from Model Coordination using the Coordination Issues Add-In had incorrect scaling applied.

Fixed an issue causing the Progress dialog box to close unexpectedly.
NWD Files
-
Fixed an issue where exporting NWD files to DWFx resulted in missing geometry.

Exporting NWD files with hidden items excluded now works as expected.

Opening a new workspace now works as expected after opening an NWD containing bad fragments.

Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when trying to save an NWD file after making edits.
IFC files
-
Transforms carried out in IFC files are now preserved correctly when saved to an NWF format.

When exporting linked IFC models from MicroStation to NWC format, custom colors are now supported and the color used in the linked file is respected.
FBX files
-
When exporting FBX files, changing the units during export no longer incorrectly scales the size of the model elements.

The FBX exporter now correctly counts the number of nodes during export.
Known Issues
Some customers are experiencing issues with export to NWD creating corrupt outputs when using the 'Exclude Hidden Items' option
Development focus
As the Product Manager for Navisworks I, and all the team are committed to improving the product in all aspects. We begin looking to the future and specifically Navisworks 2027 and the exciting updates and improvements we have planned.
