Possible to Import Gantt Chart and Assign Tasks to Models Automatically

Good afternoon!  Is it possible to import Gantt chart data and automatically assign Part Models to those tasks?  I've not tried this and am not even sure where to start.  Would it require custom API programming to accomplish this goal?  Thanks for your patience as I try to frame out this request.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Hi Pete,

It sounds like you need to use Timeliner. There is some automation to it, but needs to be manually setup and tweaked with TLC to get the results you want.

Thanks @martinTstewart_Adsk!  I'm somewhat familiar with Timeliner and have manually set up tasks and assigned models to them.  I think my question is more along the lines of Navisworks API. 

Would it be possible to have a project file feed in the data into Timeliner and also list the equipment that is tied to each task.  From there I would like to have the program (even custom programming) check each task model and then assign the actual Navisworks model object to the task?  I'm not at all familiar with the Navisworks API and am curious if such a scenario is even possible?  I don't need anyone to do it for me, my client just wants to know if this could be possible.
