No you cannot extract NWC from NWD. proprietary File Formats does not require cache file to open.

NWCs are Cache files  that is automatically generated when opening/appending native model files, such as files from Revit , AutoCAD or MicroStation. And when saved the file extension is either NWF or NWD.

Hi @MohamedR.Nasreldeen,

Like @a_meteni said you cannot do it, but you can always export the NWD as a DWF and the when you append that new file an NWC will be created automatically, you will loose all your properties but it is a workaround that works if you need a NWC from a NWD.

If this helped solve your problem please mark it as solution, so other users can get this solutions as well.

Export an IFC file and open it in Navis. This will automatically create an NWC while maintaining property sets

There have the Navisworks 2025 NWC File Export Utility.

It's works when I use naviswork 2025 version!

export DXF and append on the same file will appear the NWC file on the same path.
