I'm experiencing an issue with an end user and wondering if someone can assist. They have Navisworks 2025 installed on a Windows 11 device and can't open .nwd files directly from File Explorer. To open the file, they have to select Open with and click on Navisworks itself. It only allows to Open once and can't select Always. If they try to open Navisworks as normal through the file, it opens a web browser that downloads a copy of the file.
In default apps within Settings, I can't see the .nwd file type or Navisworks 2025 so there is no option to set as default for that file type. I have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Navisworks and Autodesk, clearing cache and deleting program files/registry keys so any advice would help.
I have also confirmed that the affected files work as normal on other devices, and this user is able to open them, but has to select the application to open with the file.
I believe this behaviour should resolve after reimaging the device but would like to leave that as a last option.
