I am thinking this isn't available, but just in case I am missing something. Scenario: I setup a NWF file with appended NWCs. The NWCs have within their names a reference to their revision number, such as _RN00_. When the next revision comes to me, it will be _RN01_, and so forth. What I am finding is that when I change out to the new revision, my Clash Batches send every 'active' clash to the RESOLVED catagory, and then generates a new list of clashes, that are the same as the original 'active' ones. Seems that even if it were the same objects, the name change of the NWC_RN01_ makes difference. The only way I can get it to 'do right' is to keep the NWC name consistent for the life of the project.
I don't want to hafta always be renaming names of files for the life of the project, but it seems if the revision number is incremented along, then I will be destined to rename NWCs prior to loading the NWF.
Is there something out there that would help with this dilemma? Revit has an option for links that says, "Reload From" allowing me to update a link with another file of a different name. Anything like that maybe that I am not aware of? Or am I into 'wishlist' now?

Hi dennis,
When you change out the revision, are you deleting the old files from the selection tree and then appending the new versions? Since the items found as clash results are deleted when deleting the file that contains those items, the results will be marked as resolved since those non-existent items aren’t clashing anymore.
Rather than deleting the old file and appending the new revision, try moving the old version from its original location to another folder. Then when you open the NWF, Navisworks should open a window stating an unresolved reference to that old version you moved and allow you to browse to the file. Rather than browse to that old version you moved, browse to the new revision, which will then replace that file in the selection tree. Since you aren’t deleting the file from the selection tree, the clash results should remain.
Please let me know if this works for you.

As a follow on to the original question, I'd just like to clarify one thing -
As the models I work with get updated, I export them as .nwc's adding a date suffix onto the name. So for example -
ST_model_120101, would be replaced by ST_model_120102, and so on.
The method I use to replace the models is the one explained above, by moving the old model into a superseded folder, then using the unresolved reference window to find the new model.
My question is - by using this method, is all of the clash history, batched clashes, clash statuses retained once the models are updated?
Cheers, Dan
I seen to be having the same problem....I lose of my clashes that I have looked at even if I move the original file and then browse to the new location of the updated file. I am using 2012, could this be the problem?
None of this worked for me and I have a BIM Coordiantion meeting tomorrow. Navisworks needs to be replaced. There's no option to re-load links? What the actual f. lol.
