We have been battling with this issue for some time now.
When trying to establish a new Timeliner Datasource connection to a Primavera P6 V8.3 Web Services Server, we get the following error:
An error occurred while selecting a project from your Primavera Server. Primavera Error Description: 'Client found response content type of 'text/html', but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with the error message: ...
We have tested this with Navisworks Simulate and Manage (2015, 2016, 2016 SP4); and on Windows 7 and 10 machines using different accounts.
The strangest part is we don't always get this error. Sometimes the datasource will connect and allow us to select a project from the project list - however fails when we try to rebuild task hierarchy. Other times it will fail when it first tried to retrieve project list (just keeps loading until the 'Can't recieve project list' error occurs).
This issue has arisen only recently (3 to 4 months ago).
I would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience; and if there are any solutions out there.
Any help would be greatly apprecaited.
