Navisworks Compare feature - how to export results into Excel or any formrat

Hi all,

Is there a way to export the results of Compare feature? At this stage there are only selection sets with colour overlays but would like to know exact comparison changes from previous model.

I'll take any format known to mankind but would have preference of using Excel if feasible.

Regards,

Milos

Thank you for your posting @Milos.V

If you would like to check list of the items that has been changed/un-match with previous version, please try this.

1. If you locate the search set that you are interested, select the set, and use Selection Inspector.

2. This will help you to list the items in the set. Go to Quick Property Definitions, to add other properties to extract.

3. At the right upper corner, there's the button "Export to CSV"

Hi everyone.

First of all thanks to yurikim for your help and to Milos for asking the question.

After what yurikim suggested there's an issue I would like to ask (maybe It's something silly because I'm a newcomer to Navisworks, sorry in advance 😶):

When you run the Compare option in Navisworks, a lot of Sets appears and It's okay. But all of them refer to the geometry of each element, not to the first object, so when I try to export the data from the Selector Inspector most of the cells are empty, each one refers to geometry, so there is no information about Element type, workset, ....

Do you know how can I obtein

I attached an image about what I mean.

Thanks in advace.

Yes @rosa.perezresino, same here, it is very frustrating. No element ID either...

I wish Navisworks had a generate compare report tool like the one for clashes.
