Hello

Thanks for posting to the forums.

I am not sure what you are describing, are you not able to click the buttons or something else? Can you provide a bit more detail of the issues you are experiencing.

Regards

The youtube channel of "Simon Noyola Rivero & BIM Infrastructure" explains quite well, how the transfer from Civil3D from Navisworks should work.

1. Create alignment in Civil 3D

2. If you have troubles you are not able to select the buttons, create a datashortcut... due the datashortcut refer the alignment. Save Civil3D again

3. Import to Navisworks

Also if I use the workaround shown from Simon Noyola, it still doesn't work. I also shared an example file in C3D, maybe you can check it out. Thanks

Thanks for the information. I have spoken with the Navisworks development team and there does appear to be an issue. However, it is related to how Civil3D exports the alignments. As a result we are awaiting a fix for Civil3D to improve this.

They have preliminarily targeted this at Civil3D 2025.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused here and I will continue to chase a resolution to this.

Unfortunately 2025 is quite late for the debug. Any workaround? What is the issue for the bug? Any chance to import alignment with landxml or other format (*.tra, *.gra...) since this tool would be awesome and help a lot of people coordinating in infrastructure... this view based on a alignment is already implemented in f.e. Desite and makes coordinating infrastructural projects way easier...

As this is an issue with what is being exported from Civil3D we are not familiar with all the cases that will work or the workarounds.

Your best bet would be to ask the Civil team, either via a ticket or the forums.

Additional Note:
The project must contain a corridor, otherwise, the Civil Alignment option is not enabled in Navisworks, inside the user file I did not see any corridor.

best regards

After some testing I confirm that the problem is caused by the DACH Country Kit

@brett_parkerLUEP7  @snoyola

After some more testing I found out that Civil Alignment only works with local files. If I open my ACC project with NW the feature Civil Alignment is not working. Do you see a solution for this problem? Like @nathan_torggler mentioned already this feature is essential for infrastructure projects. If ACC offers this feature it would be even better (like eg. Dalux)

@snoyola

Thank you for testing. I was referring to the coordination tool in Navisworks. If I open an ACC project through the coordination tool the civil alignment feature is greyed out. If I open the same nwc file locally it works like you showed in the video
