The company president installed Navisworks as a standalone installation and now needs to change the installation to a network license.
I noticed 3DSMax has a -yc switch in the starup box in the shortcut to allow the user to switch from standalone to network license but it does not work in Navisworks.
Is there anything similar to that for Navisworks?
Hi wcallahan
The only supported method
is to uninstall the standalone licensed installation and reinstall as a network
licensed install.
During the installation, after entering your licensing information, you’ll come
to the “Begin Installation” screen with the Configure button. Rather than click the Install button, click
the Configure button. You’ll then be
prompted to select the license type and
after choosing network you can point the machine to the license server.

I have 8 machine currently running naviswork manage 2013 trial and we would like to convert it to network license as I just received my license file.
It is true that there is no other way besides uninstall and reinstall to change it to network license? Installing the trial already taken up a lot of the time....
Thank you,
M
Depens on how you created the installation.
If you did it by making a Deployment you can modify the deployment and then running the setup again will modify your installation
If you have a manual trial install. it might that placing a LICPATH.LIC file in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Manage 2013 might do the trick
This file is nothing but an ASCII file that points to your license server
