Fittings not showing from Pipe 3D when appending

Hi all, is this normal when appending files from Pipe 3d to navisworks? The fittings are missing when I append but the next day when our servers refresh they appear again.

Is there an append setting that is not working properly here. Anyone else had similar problems?

You need to check that the Object Enabler for Plant 3D is installed.

Issue:

In Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD Plant 3D fittings (pumps, pipe elbows) are displayed as wireframe opening a Plant 3D DWG 3D model.

Note: The AutoCAD MEP elements (electrical hanger, and others) may be invisible/missing.

Causes:Object Enabler is not installed or corrupt installation.
Solution:
  • Plant 3D Object Enabler
  1. Check your list of installed programs (in Windows) to see if the object enabler is installed.
  2. Download and install the version that matches the version of Navisworks, if not already installed. (see download links below).
  3. If the Object Enabler installer indicates it is already installed but does not show in Control Panel>Programs, Run the MS Fix it tool to detect problems with Uninstalling/Installing.
  4. Clear any NWC files associated with the Plant 3D DWGs before reopening the NWF/DWGs after installing the object enabler.
  • Shaded Render Type:
  1. Open Navisworks.
  2. Click the blue "N" on the upper left corner.
  3. Go to Options > File Readers > DWG/DXF.
  4. Scroll down to Render Type and change it to Shaded.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Restart Navisworks.
  7. Reopen the DWG file.
  8. Rename any corresponding NWC files if the behavior persists.
  9. Retest.
  • Export your AutoCAD Plant 3D drawing using the NWCOUT command.
  • If the issue is related to Navisworks 2020 with Plant 3D object enabler installed: Use Navisworks 2021 + Plant 3D Object Enabler 2021
  • Reinstall Object Enabler:
  1. Uninstall all Plant 3D object enabler versions if Object Enabler was originally installed (when checking from above) but isn't working.
  2. Restart computer.
  3. Install the one object enabler version needed for the version of Navisworks to be used.
  1. Clear any NWC files associated with the Plant 3D DWGs before reopening the NWF/DWGs after installing the object enabler.
Note: If the Object Enabler installer indicates it is already installed but does not show in Control Panel>Programs, Run the MS Fix it tool to detect problems with Uninstalling/Installing.
