custom toolbars in the navisworks classic interface

Hello,

I am trying to make custom toolbars in the navisworks classic interface. I can set one up but Naviswoks seems to forget it everytime I close the application. It will not remember it in a workspace either.

does anyone have any idea how to make this work? what am I doing wrong...

Many thanks,

Ken

Hi Ken,

Unfortunately the classic interface is no longer supported, as most of our users have now moved across to the ribbon interface.

However this has been working in my version of the product so I can suggest a couple of things to try out.

1) Close Navisworks and search for all 'lastsession.xml' files on your machine and delete them. This will let you start afresh.

2) Can you try creating a workspace, Saving the Workspace under View > Workspace in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Manage 2012\Workspaces and Then Load it again? It should also now appear in the Workspaces menu when you restart Navisworks.

Hello Lee,

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried this out but it did not work either. I will just borrow one of the standard toolbars for my purposes since Navisworks seems to remember those OK.

Thanks for yor help anyway.

Ken
