Apply multiple selection sets to one task ?

Hi, 

I would like to know if it is possible to assign multiple selection sets (with the same names but not in the same selection set folder) to one task. 

I explain my situation. I have objects that have a maximum of three "ID_task" that are split in 3 parameters (ID_task_1/ID_task_2/ID_task_3). 

Since in my real file I have around 200 ID task I need to find a way to generate the selection sets automatically. I found a plug-in (called VDCToolbox) that allow to create those selection sets but it divides them into different folders (ID_task_1/ID_task_2/ID_task_3).

The problem comes when I'm using the rule to assign the selections sets to the tasks... It only assigns the first matching selection set name that it finds in the list.

Is there a way to assign more than 1 selection set?

Or to create (automatically) sets based on multiple conditions ("or" conditions) ?

You could create a upper level in the search set folder structure and group search sets that you want to assign to a task

But can you be more specific? Is it possible to group search sets automatically ? Because in my example I only have 3 ID_task but in reality I have more than 800 ID and therefore (following your idea) I should create 800 groups of search set ...

I don't believe it's possible to group them automatically, you would have to drag-drop/ copy-paste the search sets into their new folders

Unless you create a new parameter to automatically group the objects with a new search sets...

@fpensa  thanks a lot, I decided to change my strategy and create search set with XML code .... Way more better.
