Using NwCreate SDK to export to NWD

We have a requirement to export our mesh data as NWD files. Currently, we’re using the NwCreate SDK to export our data to NWC files. We are under the impression (from NwCreate documentation) that we are unable to use the SDK to export to NWD.

However we’ve since discovered a function in the SDK  “LiNwcApiIsNwdWriteAvailable()“, which leads us to believe that NWD export may be possible.

We would like to know:

  1. Does the NwCreate SDK support export to NWD?
  2. If this functionality is restricted by a license, are we able to obtain a license?

The Automation assembly works very well to create NWD files.

Unfortunately we can not use the Automation Assembly API, since we can not ensure that our customers have NavisWorks installed.

Is this functionality available as part of the NwCreate SDK?

Can you elaborate?
As far as I know only NwCreate SDK allows to create geometries, node etc.

The link above shows how to open a dwg file(s) and save as an .nwd. What further info do you need?

As I understood the initial post, the question was related to "create" nwd files from scratch and not just convert/append existing files... wichi was also explicit in my post: "only NwCreate SDK allows to create geometries, node etc."

Sorry, I've apparently misunderstood the OP needs.
