Setting the center point of modelitem

Hi,

I am new to the Navisworks API and have found although I can get the centre point of a bounding box of an object, I can't set to or change these values.

I may just be missing something?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Hi,

boundingbox is fixed property with a model geometry. Could you clarify why you wanted to change center of boundingbox?

or probably you just wanted to transform a geometry? if yes, please refer to this blog:

Hi,

I am having no problem with transforming the object, however I am looking to rotate the model around a different point other than the center of the bounding box given, therefore I am attempting to alter this position.

Hope this makes sense?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

so, it sounds like what you wanted to set it pivot of orbit the scene?  I need to check if API is available, but I'd like to have your confirmation on my understanding of your question.

Hi,

Sorry I do not find an API, and has not got a comment from our engineer team. So I logged a wish# NW-53280: NET API: set pivot of orbit
