.NET Framework Development

It has been over 13 years since Autodesk purchased Navisworks.  A great deal of interest was generated, and user created plugins were much easier when Autodesk introduced the .NET framework to the API.  It is extremely disappointing that they Autodesk have not completed a full changeover to .NET from COM. After 10 years of development this indicates a lack of interest by Autodesk to actively apply resources to the development of this product. Is Autodesk more focussed on their cloud offerings? If they are then they need to realise that the cloud cannot be the answer for all. I have been on so many remote work sites where the internet is as good as non-existant and work has to be done on desktop software.

How many software companies out there are asking for more licensing dollars but failing to adequately support their products. It is so frustrating for end users.

Sorry but Navisworks is abandoned. There's been no new features or bug fixes in years. They don't even bother to update the sdk since the documentation says 2018 even into 2021. Autodesk is all about the cloud now.
