I have been using other FEA programs for a few years and just recently started to use the Nastran Incad tool. After using the Inventor tool for a while, it has been nice to see the capabilities and enhanced functionality of the Nastran tool. After spending a significant amount of time over the last few weeks learning to use the tool, I attempted to write a report for a fatigue study that I am working on. It was very disappointing to learn now that there is no ability to generate any form of a report of the results as there is for the linear static analysis. The lack of this ability renders the tool almost useless in the ability to be able to convey simulation results to others inside your organization nor customers that have interest in them. Based on what I am seeing in earlier comments in this thread, there are many other analysis study types that also do not have report generating abilities. It is unfortunate that a tool with this much capability and potential lacks such an important feature to be able to complete a study effort. The report generating ability should be a priority for all study types in the Nastran Incad tool.
It would be nice to have an option of customization of the default report (from a to z) as well as to chose the size and the perspective of the pictures inserted? With the options given, there is not much possible to change.
Moreover, the translation from English to German leaves much to be desired. So I'd like to avoid making the same corrections thousand times over! If somebody knows how to do it, I'll appreciate it very much!
Not having the ability to produce reports for different analyses feels similar to a word processing program that lacks a print button. It is truly unfortunate, because otherwise this is a great tool.
When will this package be able to generate a report file for Fatigue Analysis. My customers do not accept a manual self generated report with Windows snip-out function and Report compiled in Word. Can I get direct communication with someone in this team to speak to about this Fatigue Analysis funktion, I don't think it computes correctly.
Plus I have several other question I would like to get clarity on.
This thread is ON from 2015. In these 8 years has Autodesk still not sorted out "Generate Report" for non linear analysis?? or for that matter any analysis other than linear static. Really sad!!
